As the sun dips for the day over Riyadh, the vibrant capital of Saudi Arabia transforms into a playground of lights, culture and excitement.

While the city may not boast the nightlife associated with some international destinations, it offers a unique array of experiences that showcase Saudi culture and hospitality. While alcohol is not permitted in the Kingdom, the nightlife scene is still vibrant well into the wee hours with plenty of entertainment options that cater to diverse tastes. Discover Boulevard City, the largest entertainment centre in Riyadh. There’s a picturesque waterfront promenade surrounded with fun things to do, for all ages. Embrace the serenity of the water feature, enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride, and revel in the charming ambiance – and it’s entirely free to enter! The Boulevard also offers diverse entertainment, from a wax museum to tennis and golf courts. Snap photos with over forty wax figures, challenge yourself on courts, race in the karting centre, and more. 

During Riyadh Season, the Boulevard comes alive with exciting offers, performances, and much more, making it a top destination in the city.

Riyadh has a thriving arts scene and culture vultures need to check out Hewar Art Gallery. It's been gracing the Kingdom Centre since 2006, offering an amazing range of art from Saudi, Middle Eastern and international artists. Swing by any day until 9pm for a dose of creativity. It’s the perfect spot to soak up some culture, especially after dark.

3. Stroll under the stars at At-Turaif in Diriyah

Have you heard about At-Turaif in Diriyah? It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010. This historic district was the capital of the Emirate of Diriyah from 1727 to 1818. You can wander through its mudbrick streets until midnight, with the last entry at 11pm, and an access pass costs SAR 50 per person. It's a fascinating glimpse into Saudi Arabia's past and a must-visit for anyone visiting the capital.

History enthusiasts and night owls will appreciate the tranquillity of these iconic landmarks, gaining a deeper understanding of Riyadh's past under the night sky. Events and cultural celebrations are often held here late into the evening, and there are lots of incredible restaurants at nearby Bujairi Terrace.

4. Focus on your wellbeing at Core Social Wellness Club

5. View the capital from above on the Sky Bridge

Experience the breathtaking panorama of Riyadh's skyline from the Kingdom Centre’s Sky Bridge. The trip to the Sky Bridge involves two elevators – the first takes about 50 seconds to reach a height of 180 metres to the transfer level, and the second elevator takes around 40 seconds to reach its final destination. Marvel at the glittering lights below, casting an enchanting glow across the landscape. 

Architecture buffs and photographers will be captivated by the futuristic design and mesmerising views. At SAR 69 for adults, with kids under ten visiting for free, it's an affordable adventure for the whole family. Open from 12pm to 10:30pm Saturday to Thursday and 4pm to 10:30pm on Fridays.
