While geography and history can shape culinary traditions, along with the availability of ingredients, a destination’s restaurant scene is often influenced by the people themselves. The unique demographics of a place and its cultural dynamics play a role in determining the kind of cuisines that become popular.

Take the Kingdom, for example: in the capital of Riyadh, you’ll find endless options for classic and formal dining, in an atmosphere that is somewhat reflective of the professional and traditional culture. In contrast, Jeddah, perched on the Red Sea, embodies a more relaxed and cosmopolitan vibe. Coastal charm, a slightly more creative scene, and a vibrant social culture reign supreme. The range of excellent restaurants here makes for eclectic dining opportunities, with globally recognised names going head-to-head with homegrown talents.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a luxurious night out, the diverse dining options serve up exquisite flavours, impeccable service, international influences, and an element of surprise. These are the best high-end restaurants in Jeddah.

1. Kuuru

Dishes at Kuuru, Jeddah

Kuuru is an exciting and absorbing celebration of Nikkei cuisine, where Japanese precision meets the vibrant soul, colours and punchy flavours of Peru. Already topping the List Awards 2026 in our fine dining category, Kuuru is bound for further success and possibly a Michelin star. The open kitchen at its heart isn’t just for show; it’s a stage for chefs crafting everything from delicate ceviche to flame-seared Wagyu. With its mash-up of Incan motifs, sleek Japanese lines, and a menu that refuses to play it safe, Kuuru is redefining what fine dining looks like on Saudi Arabia’s west coast.

Whether you're a fan of Argentinian food or new to it, Pampas offers one of the best dining experiences in Jeddah for this South American cuisine. This upscale restaurant sits atop the Assila, A Luxury Collection Hotel, on the 17th floor. The location makes it perfect for an evening meal so that you can enjoy the stunning post-sunset views. Likewise, a nighttime visit is equally spectacular, providing the chance to see Jeddah’s city lights while enjoying your food.

Pampas features a variety of set menus, and reservations are recommended at this popular spot. Known for its dry-aged steaks cooked over acacia wood, the meat-focused dishes are made from the best possible ingredients. With an open kitchen, diners can watch the preparation, adding to the authentically impressive experience from starters straight through to desserts.

3. Alieia

Delicious Greek cuisine awaits you at stylish Alieia

For a slice of the Mediterranean in Jeddah, Alieia takes you on an enchanting culinary escape to Greece. It’s located off Al Kurnaysh Branch Road in Ash Shati and exudes a coastal charm with its cobblestone setting and bright, airy dining room. The name Alieia, meaning “heaven” in English, perfectly captures the restaurant's dreamy ambiance, resplendent with white sofas, walls and tablecloths, all complemented by expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights.

The menu is vast, presenting a modern twist on Greek classics, with sharing dishes like dips, bread, Greek salad and fresh seafood. This must-visit destination is reservation-only, so be sure to book a table in advance.

4. Le Traiteur

The dishes at Le Traiteur are like art on a plate

French gastronomy is synonymous with fine dining. If you’re craving a taste of France, try Le Traiteur for a mouthwatering menu of traditional and contemporary dishes. Homemade duck confit melts in the mouth, while the braised lamb is fragrant and filling. Classic French desserts will add a sweet ending to your meal too, such as strawberry macarons or, for something more indulgent, the rich chocolate fondant. The ambience is elegant and classic with a touch of romance.

5. MYAZU

Routinely appearing on lists everywhere of the best restaurants in Jeddah, contemporary Japanese cuisine is on the menu at MYAZU. This stunning spot is located at the top of Al Basateen Mall, and garners rave reviews for the incredible dishes on offer, but also for the impeccable, warm service and the atmospheric dining room. Classics such as robata grills, caviar, sashimi, and wagyu gyoza are perennially popular, but there are also regularly updated seasonal specials. Everything is so beautifully presented that it's hard to decide whether to gaze upon it or tuck in – we recommend both.

Niyyali, located in the Shangri-La Hotel, is one of Jeddah’s best-elevated Middle Eastern restaurants. This is fine dining, Lebanese style – serving vibrant cuisine amid stunning views. Whether dining indoors or on the terrace overlooking the Red Sea and Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Niyyali offers a beautiful experience. The restaurant excels in Lebanese classics, so don’t miss the truffle hummus or the juicy chargrilled kebabs.

For an outstanding meal served by knowledgeable and friendly staff, Niyyali is the place to go. Lebanese cuisine is all about sharing, so bring friends and family to fully savour the rich and bold flavours on offer.

7. Shahnamah

Another Lebanese favourite in Jeddah, Shahnamah is spread over two floors with just four rooms in total: three cosy dining spaces and a reception area overlooking the open kitchen. Each room is named after a character from the epic Persian Book of Kings of the same title: Khosro, Shireen, Rustam, and Simurgh. The lighting is warm, the colours calming, and the overall decor is carefully balanced, blending classic Persian elements with clean, contemporary restraint. The focus is on classic Persian fare, prepared with a clear respect for tradition. The kitchen places particular care on ingredients, with most staples such as saffron and zereshk berries flown in directly from Iran.

Dessert is not optional. The bastani soft serve saffron ice cream is fragrant and exactly what you want after a rich meal. Pair it with Persian tea for the perfect end to a memorable evening.
